Celtic's £4m-plus transfer target labelled even better than Kyogo Furuhashi

According to the Scottish Sun, Celtic are considering a January swoop for the Aberdeen marksman. Brendan Rodgers has sent scouts flocking to Pittodrie in recent months, though the Dons are in no mood to let Miovski go without a fight. Devin, however, is likely to argue that Miovski would be worth every penny. “For me, he is the best player in his position in the league,” the former Livingston captain tells Aberdeen Live. “And (Miovski) has scored a lot of goals for us already this year, even when we have not been getting great results.” A bargain £650,000 signing from Hungarian outfit MTK in the summer of 2022, Miovski plundered 18 goals during a terrific debut season in Scotland and has 11 already this, despite Aberdeen’s struggles down the wrong end of the table. “Bojan is brilliant,” Aberdeen keeper Kelle Roos tells the Press and Journal. “If you feed him, he will score. Bojan is a threat from all angles.” Celtic are reportedly keen on Bologna benchwarmer Sydney van Hooijdonk too. Like former Hoops targetman Giorgios Giakoumakis, Van Hooijdonk would arrive with a prolific reputation in Dutch football, scoring 19 times on loan at Heerenveen in 2022/23. Miovski’s proven track record on the Scottish stage, however, could see him emerge as Celtic’s number one striker target.
