How has Aaron Henry fared since leaving Charlton Athletic on loan?

Charlton Athletic had previously sent academy graduate Henry out on loan to Crawley Town earlier in the campaign, though that deal was cut short by the League Two outfit. The 20-year-old has featured 14 times in League One for the Addicks but was in need of more game time this campaign in order to continue his development. Henry made 17 appearances for Crawley in the first half of the term, but dropped down to the National League to join Wealdstone for the remainder of the season. Since joining Wealdstone, Henry has featured 17 times as a holding midfielder and chipped in with two goals in that time. He has, however, also received a red card for two bookable offences, coincidentally coming in the same fixture. The Stones have won three, drawn five and lost nine of their league outings since Henry’s arrival. They’re currently sat 20th in the table and one point above the relegation zone with just six games left to ensure their safety in the division. Besides suspension due to his sending off, the Charlton Athletic loanee has been a consistent performer in the Wealdstone team. He’ll be hoping that his experience on loan goes a long way towards earning himself a spot back in the Addicks’ squad next season with a new boss to impress in the form of Nathan Jones. He may be given a shot to impress in pre-season to try and earn a role under Jones. Should he still be considered surplus to requirements this summer, perhaps a permanent move could be best to allow the Addicks to land a fee while freeing Henry to settle and kick on elsewhere.
