Daily Schmankerl: Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Manchester United battling for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong?; PSG eying FC Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, Inter Milan’s Marcus Thuram; Arsenal, Chelsea, Madrid vying for Leny Yoro; and MORE!

Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Real Madrid could all be in a battle for freshly-minted Bundesliga champion Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong and his mates secured the Meisterschale on Sunday, but the 23-year-old right-back/wing-back could be on the move this summer:

Los Blancos’ interest in Florian Wirtz is well-established by now, but another Bayer Leverkusen star on their radars is right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
However, as per journalist Christian Falk (via Caught Offside), Real Madrid will face competition from Manchester United and Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Jeremie Frimpong.
“Likewise, Alonso and sporting director Rolfes are working on a shared future with Jeremie Frimpong. His contract until 2028 also contains an exit clause. The wing player can go for €40 million,” Falk wrote in his column. “The clause would have to be activated before the start of the European Championship in June. Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United have registered their interest in the Dutchman.”
In fact, Falk mentioned that the entourage of Frimpong is already holding discussions with Bayern Munich and Manchester United. In that case, Real Madrid will have to make their move swiftly. While his attacking capabilities from the right-back position are amazing, there are some doubts at Real Madrid over the defensive side of his game.
With his €40 million release clause only being active before the Euros, Real Madrid will have to move swiftly if they wish to sign him.

Danny Schwarz got to know Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović while coaching him with the club’s U-16s and U-17s and recently said that the youngster did not have an easy time during his development.
“His future at Bayern was always in the balance. In the U-16s, he was at a crossroads. Unterhaching and 1860 had him and other talents who got less playing time at Bayern on their radar. But he always said: ‘I definitely want to stay at Bayern and fight my way through here.’ - He fully identified with FC Bayern,” Schwarz said.
