Even star striker Harry Kane couldn’t finish his post-game Instagram message without a selfie cameo from teammate Leon Goretzka: Ousted ex-sporting director Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić took the occasion as well to congratulate his former colleagues. When was the last time the team spirit looked this good? That the Bavarians all looked to be pulling in one direction, with total conviction and belief as one of Europe’s strongest sides? Probably just before the Thomas Tuchel era began — after a decisive Round of 16 victory over a stacked Paris Saint-Germain last season.
