Breaking: Austria acknowledges Bayern Munich’s contact with Ralf Rangnick

For anyone doubting how serious Bayern Munich is about securing Austrian national team coach Ralf Rangnick as its next coach, well, you might want to change your tune.
The Österreichischen Fußball-Bund (Austrian Football Association) acknowledged Bayern Munich’s interest in Rangnick
“He [Rangnick] feels very, very comfortable at the ÖFB and appreciates the work here. The goals we achieved over the past two years are a great thing for everyone involved. When a club like Bayern Munich comes knocking, it’s understandable that you think about the interest. We are close to the Euros with big goals. Of course, there will be a deadline from Bayern Munich because they also want to know,” Austria sporting director Peter Schöttel told ORF Sport (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I am hopeful that Ralf will not only choose us, but will also be the Austrian team coach for the next few years. I think it [a decision] will have to be done in a week or two.”
Things seem like they are getting scorching hot between Rangnick and Bayern Munich. With the Bavarians seeking to nail down its next coach ASAP, things could move very quickly from here.
