While Bayern Munich squared off with VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, Matthijs de Ligt and Jamal Musiala worked out to get ready for Real Madrid

As Bayern Munich traveled to VfB Stuttgart for a Bundesliga match, center-back Matthijs de Ligt and attacker Jamal Musiala both hit the training grounds at Säbener Straße in hopes of getting to play against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Abendzeitung journalists Victor Catalina captured a couple of pictures of the boys as they worked out: De Ligt’s absence from the lineup against Real Madrid played a massive role in the match as his replacement, Kim Min-jae, made two brutal mistakes, which led to goals for Los Blancos.
While Musiala did take the pitch earlier in the week during the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid, the Germany international has been battling nagging injuries over the past few weeks that have limited his availability.
Surely, head coach Thomas Tuchel would like both of these players healthy and raring to go against Real Madrid on Wednesday. Looking for more thoughts and analysis on Ralf Rangnick becoming the latest coach to turn down Bayern Munich, along with the alleged interest in Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah? Heck, we’ve even got what to watch for in the return leg against Real Madrid! So, check out the Bavarian Podcast Works — Weekend Warm-up Show on Spotify or below:
