Ex-Bayern Munich boys Sebastian Hoeneß and Angelo Stiller revel in VfB Stuttgart’s victory

VfB Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß earned his stripes in coaching on Bayern Munich’s campus, so downing his former club in convincing fashion probably felt, well, pretty nice.
“The first half was really good up to the penalty, which was quite a blow for us. The second half was all right as well but the game was more open. Both teams had chances. In the end, the win was deserved. We’re now secured a spot in the top four. That was important for us and feels great,” said Hoeneß via FCBayern.com.
Former Bayern Munich midfielder Angelo Stiller backed up his coach on Stuttgart’s winning effort — which now has them locked into next season’s Champions League campaign.
“We worked hard all year for this and never gave up. We never strayed from the path. To be able to celebrate with the fans now is really special,” Stiller remarked.
