Patterson surgery, Everton could have Branthwaite, Calvert-Lewin & Gana available

Everton continue to have mixed luck with injuries as they enter a crucial phase of the Premier League survival battle. With three games upcoming in seven days, the Blues have lost Nathan Patterson for the remainder of the season, with the fullback requiring surgery for what looked like a painful hamstring injury that saw him leave the pitch in the mauling at Chelsea on Monday night.
Club captain Seamus Coleman is also unlikely to feature in Sunday’s key relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest after he started the game at Stamford Bridge, which means we could see Ben Godfrey on the pitch.
There was some positive news from Sean Dyche though, with key players Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also looking likely to feature. Midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye had picked up a knock in training before that Chelsea defeat, but should be good to go too.

“[Branthwaite and Calvert-Lewin] trained, we were light today but both trained light and came through it, so we hope there is no reaction to that.
“Patto will be out for the season - he will need surgery. Very unfortunate injury. We’re disappointed on that one for him as much as us.
“Seamus, we’re waiting on but hopefully it will calm down quickly - but touch-and-go, at best, for this weekend.
“[Gana] should be okay. His calf settled and he trained today - similar, low-level training today but he trained and he was okay.”
Versatile forward Arnaut Danjuma was in the matchday squad on Monday night and should be available again after fully participating in training this week.
The Toffees only long-term injuries now aside from Patterson are Lewis Dobbin who is getting closer to full fitness and Dele, with the former Spurs player unlikely to feature again.
