Thierry Henry wowed by £30m Arsenal player after beating Luton Town

The Gunners were looking to avoid a slip-up as they headed to Kenilworth Road, but few could have predicted such a dramatic game. Gabriel Martinelli put Arsenal ahead, only for Gabriel Osho to level it up for the Hatters. The game went back and forth; Gabriel Jesus put Arsenal back in the lead before Elijah Adebayo and Ross Barkley had Luton 3-2 up. Kai Havertz levelled it again before Declan Rice headed a late, late winner to spark absolute pandemonium in the away end. Rice’s goal came as Martin Odegaard put a superb cross into the box, allowing the England star to head home the winner. Odegaard was given just a bit too much room outside the Luton box and made the Hatters pay. The Norwegian has been a little more hot and cold than last season but really seems to be finding his best form again. Odegaard scored against Wolves at the weekend and has now been praised by Thierry Henry after the win Luton. Speaking on Amazon Prime Video (05/12, 22:25), Henry praised the ball in from Odegaard and simply said ‘wow’ about the quality of the assist. Photo by Stuart MacFarlane/Arsenal FC via Getty Images Henry also hailed Rice for his movement inside the box, ghosting away from a Luton defender to plant his header into the net. “What a ball from Odegaard,” said Henry. “You have to feel sorry for Luton but we’re not the ref, he allowed one more minute, it’s six minutes minimum, so Arsenal took advantage of that.” “That little move that [Rice] did, you can see, he went on the back of the player and then he went in front of him. He goes on the back so he won’t see him, now he goes in front of him, boom. The ball from Odegaard, wow,” he added. £30million for Odegaard looks like absolute daylight robbery now and Arsenal wouldn’t even consider selling him for three or four times that amount now. Odegaard comes up with big moments of quality and Tuesday’s win at Luton showed that as he unlocked the Hatters defence to set up Arsenal’s dramatic victory.
