Pundit issues Moyes sack admission after Arsenal

West Ham need to play better football under David Moyes, according to Frank McAvennie, who watched them lose 6-0 to Arsenal. The Irons played host to their rivals at the London Stadium on 11 February and suffered a humiliating defeat against Mikel Arteta’s side. The likes of Emerson, Tomas Soucek and Ben Johnson has been slammed by the former Hammers striker as he’s weighed in on Moyes’ future amid all the speculation surrounding his sack. Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, he said: “I don’t want Dave to go. I want him to be there. But I want them to play better football. “They’ve got better players. Not one tackle. Not one player put a tackle against Arsenal. “I’ve seen Johnson run around and he’s smiling. Emerson was hopeless. Soucek never kicked a ball and can’t run anymore. “I’m thinking ‘Is this team not fit enough? Is that on the manager?’ I don’t want them kicking people but I want them to challenge for the ball. If you lose it, then get it back.” West Ham United must sack Moyes in the summer Moyes may have credit in the bank because he guided the team to a victory in the UEFA Europa Conference League last season but that’s running out. He would’ve been sacked by now had that run not happened a lot of that was because of individual brilliance bailing him out last season. David Moyes has found himself under increasing pressure at West Ham United. Despite the quality in the first-team squad, the Hammers are struggling to dominate games and the buck eventually stops with the manager and a change needs to be on the cards at the end of the season.
