West Ham expert destroys 'terrible' Zouma - 'I'm absolutely raging'

Kurt Zouma was “terrible” for West Ham United in their humiliating defeat against Arsenal. Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Hammers and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie destroyed the centre-back’s outing in the 6-0 loss and suggested that he struggled with the fundamentals of defending. The Frenchman started the outing against the Gunners but was hauled off at halftime with the score at 4-0 for January addition Kalvin Phillips. David Moyes kept him in the starting line-up for their next game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday (17 February) but they failed to keep a clean sheet and lost once again. West Ham United idol is “absolutely raging” at Kurt Zouma Across his 45 minutes against Arsenal, Zouma failed to make a single tackle, made just 11 accurate passes and completed only two clearances. McAvennie hammered the former Chelsea man for his “schoolboy” antics and claimed Moyes should relegate him to the bench. “Kurt Zouma looks like he can’t even run anymore,” he told Football Insider. “He was terrible [against Arsenal]. “He couldn’t even make a tackle and he should be dropped – it was schoolboy defending from him. “It was like he was playing on the playground – I don’t get it. “I’m absolutely raging watching him. “I was supposed to be there that day too, but thank God I wasn’t! “If I was there, I’d have been in the bar at halftime!” In other news, West Ham plotting to appoint ‘next Unai Emery’ as board draw up shortlist – Sources.
