AC Milan Crumble Against Sassuolo In 3-3 Draw As Okafor Saves A Point

AC Milan struggled with the rotation against relegation-placed Sassuolo and were held to a 3-3 draw but were honestly lucky to emerge from the game with that point.
Marco Sportiello conceded three goals which will raise questions on his ability to deputise Mike Maignan going forward. Malick Thiaw seems to keep declining since returning from injury and the overall feeling in the team seems down and not much in store for the AS Roma return leg on Thursday.
Andrea Pinamonti scored for Sassuolo after 4 minutes to stun Milan but Armand Lauriente shocked the side doubling the hosts lead with a burst down the left wing to make 2-0 after just 10 minutes.
Rafael Leao pulled one back with a stunning solo effort breaking through the defensive lines and curling it under the keeper to pull one back.
Sassuolo would scored again through Lauriente to make it 3-1 in the 53rd minute. Luka Jovic struck next with a tap in after Consigli’s save rebounded just in front of him. Noah Okafor saved the point with the equaliser as he whacked in a shot after the ball bounced around in the box after a corner.
Samuel Chukwueze had another stunning performance but unlucky game as he scored two goals which were overturned by VAR as offsides based on the most miniscule of margins.
Milan drop points just as Juventus and Napoli did which means little change in the table but it allows Inter Milan better odds to win the Scudetto next week with a win or a draw at the San Siro.
