Mendy out against Real Sociedad, Rodrygo and Bellingham questionable

Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy will miss Friday’s clash against Real Sociedad with the same leg soreness which kept him out of the past El Clasico. Mendy’s availability for Tuesday’s first leg of the Champions League Semifinals in Munich appears certain, however, so coach Carlo Ancelotti is probably just taking a cautious approach at this point.
Rodrygo Goes —flu— and Jude Bellingham —gastroenteritis— are questionable for this away game as well, so it will be interesting to see if Ancelotti decides to make some more rotations in order to make sure that every single one of his starters is fresh and ready to feature in such an intense game like the one on Tuesday.
Real Madrid have an 11-point lead in the table, so they should start managing the roster and giving minutes to reserves like Brahim, Joselu, Arda Güler or Dani Ceballos so that the regular starters are able to get some rest.
