Manchester City v Real Madrid: Gut Feelings

Manchester City entertain Spanish giants Real Madrid as they look to secure a place in the Champions League semi-final. With the tie evenly poised following a 3-3 draw in Madrid last week, it’s set to be a battle to the death, with the winners being touted as going on to win the trophy.
The Blues will be confident with home advantage, but Real are always a dangerous side and City can’t afford any complacency if they want to advance.
As usual, our team are here to give us their thoughts and predictions on the match, so here’s how we think the second-leg tie will go.
Saul
This is why we watch. Matches and nights like these. A fresh city and non-sick KDB, never bet against them.
City 4-2 Real
Craig
I expect another barnburner here. I think/hope City will just about edge it but it’s so hard to call. Fireworks!
City 4-3 Real
Thomas
Hey! Do you guys remember what happened to Los Madridistas at the Etihad last year? I guarantee that they do, too. I don’t expect a full-on dismantling of Los Blancos this time, but our place is an absolute fortress, and we have Rodri on a full week’s rest. Give me the reigning Champions of England, Europe, and the World to push through to yet another UEFA Champion’s League Semi-final.
City 3-1 Real

It’s stressful, obviously. But City have always performed at home versus Madrid. I don’t think it will be as dominant of a display as last year, but I still expect a strong performance. Would love to see KDB and Foden feature together through the middle but I doubt we see it.
Manchester City 3-1 Real
Pete
Huge match and both teams will be nervy. I think with the home advantage and the crowd behind them, City will prevail, but only just. I’m fully expecting Real to score, however, I think/hope/pray that we do it.
City 2-1 Real
What Happened Last Time?
Just the one point all round following the match against Luton, however, Pete was once again left reeling after another goal denied him a perfect score for the second week running. But, it’s okay as it went to City but so, so close.
Here’s the table:
